What is Test- icles?

Is the first initiative that invites you to take a pregnancy test to detect potential testicular cancer.

You're probably wondering how a pregnancy test can be related to testicular cancer? The answer is simple: a pregnancy test works by detecting the presence of a hormone, called beta fraction of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, in the urine. This hormone is produced by embryos and some types of testicular cancer.

How do I take a pregnancy test?

How to read the results?

Although the way of presenting the result may vary depending on the brand, they are all made up of two lines: the control line (C) and the result line (T).

If you read the result after 10 minutes, your result is no longer valid.

(X) Failed

Resultado fallido

If after 5 minutes you DON'T SEE A CONTROL (C) LINE. In this case we recommend taking another test.

(-) Negative

Resultado negativo

If after 5 minutes you ONLY SEE THE CONTROL LINE (C).

(+) POSITIVE

Resultado positivo

If after 5 minutes, in addition to the control line (C), you see the result line (T).

What to do if my result is positive?

Keep calm! This doesn't necessarily mean you have cancer, it means that the hormone is present in your urine, which could indicate that something is wrong. The first thing you should do is go to one of the urological doctors in our directory or contact Fundación De Alba to receive advice.

What to do if my result is negative?

This means that the presence of beta fraction of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin Hormone was not detected… This is so good! But… you should not let your guard down. The most advisable thing is to continue performing periodic self-examinations and go to the urologist if you find any anomaly.
